Experience

Digible

Director of Data | May 2026 – Present

Digible is a digital marketing agency for multifamily housing. Leading the company's move to AI-ready data.

  • Designing and rolling out a semantic layer (dbt, MetricFlow) on Snowflake, plus the context engineering that lets AI tools work with company data through MCP.
  • Building an MLOps function so models and insights reach the business faster.
  • Applying data science and optimization to campaign performance for Digible's marketers.
  • Building a data platform meant to last as AI changes how data is used. Metabase for reporting.

Crewmuster

Founder | May 2026 – Present

Workforce scheduling software for small stores. Combines point-of-sale data, labor cost, and time punches with an in-store kiosk for tasks, checklists, skills training, and franchise brand promotions. crewmuster.com

Cold Stone Creamery, Biltmore Park (Asheville, NC)

Co-owner | February 2026 – Present

Own and run the store with my wife: payroll, books, store improvements, and overall operations, working with our manager on day-to-day running of the store.

Google

Staff Data Architect, GFiber | September 2024 – May 2026

Led a complete rebuild of GFiber's data platform on GCP, with BI and AI capabilities for the whole business, and managed an organization of 21 analytics engineers and contractors. Partnered with executives across finance, operations, and sales on a unified reporting hierarchy and Looker strategy.

  • Migrated the business onto a new platform (BigQuery, Airflow, Dataform, Cloud Run) integrating Salesforce, SAP, and Cloud SQL, with security, access control, and CI/CD built in from the start.
  • Designed a medallion architecture (raw, cleaned, and business-ready layers) and a semantic model that centralized metric definitions, making data self-service through Looker.
  • Added automated data profiling and data quality checks across the consumer layer, using AI/ML models for monitoring: 80% coverage of core data and a 25% gain in analyst efficiency.

Intuit Mailchimp

Data Engineering Manager | March 2022 – September 2024

Promoted to lead 20 engineers and the Mailchimp data platform across ETL, modeling, governance, and visualization (Looker and Tableau). Reviewed code and set technical strategy with staff engineers.

  • Drove the core sales and customer success lead pipelines, helping reduce high-value customer churn by 30% and increase ARR by $20M.
  • Expanded the governed, centralized data layer: 100TB+ processed daily, used by 72% of analytical workloads and 100% of data science models.
  • Built the first unified feature set for machine learning and data science models.
  • Led the adoption of Spark, cutting time to insight by 30% and processing costs by 20%.

Senior Data Software Engineer & Tech Lead | June 2019 – March 2022

Founding member and tech lead of the data platform team. Built ETL and reverse ETL pipelines across REST APIs, GCS/S3, SFTP, and warehouses with Airflow, Apache Beam, Pub/Sub, Segment, and Fivetran.

  • Built centralized marketing data models defining channel attribution and cost of acquisition, used to optimize marketing spend.
  • Designed transformation pipelines in Airflow, Dataflow, BigQuery SQL, and Dataform: 120+ analytics tables, 80TB+ processed daily.
  • Led the rollout of Looker as the BI platform, enabling self-service data for 70% of the business.
  • Mentored six mid-level and junior engineers.

Data Researcher | April 2017 – May 2019

Data science projects that informed company direction and product development, using regression and decision trees for churn and revenue attribution.

  • Designed and ran A/B experiments on new forms features, increasing utilization by 17%.
  • Maintained company health metric definitions and leadership reporting (SQL, React).
  • Built an NLP model to derive sentiment and user industries from shared marketing content.

Accenture

Senior Digital Business Integration Analyst | October 2015 – April 2017
